Foot Orthotics

Foot Orthotics

Foot orthotics at Evergreen consist of custom designed and created inserts uniquely fitted to each individual patient through a detailed evaluation and measurements. These inserts will generate superior support for the foot by redistributing regular impact forces, as well as realigning foot position while standing, walking or running. Foot, knee, hip and spine deformities can all be positively impacted through foot orthotics. From athletes to the elderly, deformities and a variety of soft tissue inflammatory conditions such as plantar fasciitis can be treated.

Orthotic shoe devices are molded pieces of rubber, leather, metal, plastic, or other synthetic material that are inserted into a shoe. They balance the foot in a neutral position and cushion the foot from too much pounding. A wide range of orthotics are available for different foot problems. These orthotics can also be used in combination with properly fitted orthopedic footwear in the prevention of foot ulcers for the at-risk diabetic foot. Foot orthotics come in an array of styles, but are usually small and thin, to fit comfortably in the bottom of the shoe.
